Peace and Reconciliation group from Bugesera District

We are grateful for the successful training of 22 participants  from Bugesera Peace and Reconciliation project. The participants were from the Club of Reconciliation and Resilience namely known as Club Ubumwe n’Ubudeheranwa-Kanazi. This club is composed of Survivors of 1994 Tutsi genocide and the perpetrators of the same 1994Tutsi genocide released from the prison and both their family members.
They took three days at ALARM premises (23-25th October 2023) and gained skills on signs of trauma, trauma coping mechanisms, care for trauma affected persons and Bible verses that help building faith and hope.
We praise God as the training went well and participants were not only attentive to the teaching and new insights, they gained from the training but also interested in the training. They really manifested a vibrant participation. They expressed their gratefulness to ALARM for providing such training to become true tools of transformation in their families and community. They went home with hope of holding on being resilient for the reconciliation process and the sustainability of what they have achieved so far.
